Project Summary

The 185,000 sq. ft. Cardinal Wuerl North Catholic High School consisted of a combined Division 6 and Division 12 package. The new school will house students from ninth to twelfth grade and will incorporate the STEM curriculum. The diocese used the Integrative Project Delivery method to choose its contractors.  LEED Silver certification was obtained through the use of sustainable and energy efficient elements throughout the building. CiF utilized rabidly renewable materials to provide premium wood casework that offers LEED credits. The high school is the first in Pennsylvania to achieve LEED for Schools 2009 Silver certification. .

Cardinal Wuerl North Catholic High School represents one of the largest projects undertaken by the Diocese of Pittsburgh. The school serves more than 1,000 students each school year. Partners Northeast Interior Systems provided installation and Artisan Millwork contributed the custom reception desk, trim and reclaimed lumber walls.
