Loyola University of Chicago welcomes a new 227,000 sq. ft. Center for Translational Research and Education (CTRE) to its campus. This new state-of-the-art facility is centered on scientific collaboration within basic science and clinical research. The integrated environment incorporates collaborative spaces, laboratory and teaching environments. The centrally located facility brings together the School of Medicine, School of Nursing, Graduate School, and Loyola University Health System in an effort to promote fundamental science discoveries. With the help of sustainable design efforts and low emission fume hoods, the project was awarded LEED Gold certification. This project features CiF premium Tier 1 wood casework and Lab Crafters’ Dimension style flexible lab tables.
