Massachusetts Institute of Technology
Project Summary
This 411, 000 square foot complex is the world’s largest center for neuroscience and is comprised of 47 cross-disciplinary laboratories ranging from cellular to cognitive. The architectural design team employed a variety of sustainable strategies to achieve a LEED silver certification such as recovery systems, high performance walls for graywater recycling and storm water retention. Plain sliced AA white maple veneer, vertically matched with sleek low profile 3 knuckle hinges provide a very simple and clean look to the casework installation.
